The Space
Villa Sun Retreat sprawls over three levels and is built with a feel of character and worldliness that draws inspiration from the European-styled homes with an Auzzie touch. Fully furnished with carefully crafted recycled and antique furniture, fixture, and fittings that include the Rockhampton Pub, 100-year-old hoop pine flooring, wooden sash windows, and an Antique front door from East Germany.
The gourmet and the open-style kitchen is also built from an antique map drawer island bench, and a ceramic farmhouse butler’s sink. The doors of the kitchen pantry are made from old European doors, an antique linen cupboard,s and designer pigeon holes shelves sourced from Brisbane.
The main living room on the second floor features a timber ceiling with exposed beams giving a feel of a typical Australian woolshed. The living spaces of the property have ample room to accommodate large numbers of guests in perfect comfort.
Three large bathrooms on each level with clawfoot baths designed from Spanish and French encaustic tiles comprise a Turkish marble sink in the master ensuite. Downstairs is a full-sized bathroom that’s flexible of two rooms with a concrete slab suspended between the floors.
