Getting around
Regular buses run between Bronte, Bondi Junction station and the city, and Bondi Junction is only a short bus or car ride away. Eating and drinking
The cafe strip facing the park at the bottom of Bronte Road is where the neighbourhood meets for coffee after a swim, with outdoor tables looking straight over the beach. Up the hill, Macpherson Street has bakeries, delis and relaxed local restaurants. For bigger nights out, Bondi's dining scene is a ten minute walk north along the coast, and Clovelly and Coogee are a short trip south.

Bronte Baths, the ocean pool cut into the rocks at the southern end of the beach, has been a local favourite since the late 1800s and is free to use all year round. Right beside it, the Bogey Hole is a sheltered natural rock pool where children can splash about away from the surf. Behind the beach, Bronte Park offers shady lawns for long picnics, with a quiet path leading up the gully to a hidden waterfall. The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk passes right through Bronte. Head north past Tamarama to Bondi, or south past the clifftop Waverley Cemetery, one of the most dramatic heritage sites on the coast, to Clovelly and Coogee.
