Where to Stay in Bondi
North Bondi
Quieter and family friendly. Rock pools and calmer water. Good for those who want a slower pace close to the beach, with easy access to Ben Buckler Point and its sweeping ocean outlook.
Central Bondi
Maximum buzz and amenities. Walk to restaurants, shops and the promenade along Campbell Parade, the most coveted stretch in the suburb.
South Bondi
Dramatic cliffs and direct access to the coastal walk. Great for morning walkers and photographers heading toward Tamarama and Bronte.

Getting around
Bondi Beach has no train station of its own. The 333, 380 and 333X buses run regularly from the city and from Bondi Junction station, which is the nearest rail link, about ten minutes away by bus. Most of our villas are walkable to the beach, the promenade and Campbell Parade, so a car is optional once you arrive. Street parking is limited in peak season, and several of our properties include private parking.
Eating and drinking
Bondi has one of the strongest cafe and restaurant scenes in Sydney. Bills on Campbell Parade is the local institution that put ricotta hotcakes on the map, open daily from 7am. Lox, Stock and Barrel is the pick for bagels and coffee with a buzzing Eastern Suburbs energy, busy on weekends so arrive early. In North Bondi, Harry's is the post-swim favourite for a big breakfast, dog friendly and open from 6am daily. For dinner, the restaurant strip along Campbell Parade and up Hall Street covers everything from casual fish and chips to fine dining with ocean views.
Shopping and markets
Hall Street and Gould Street carry Bondi's boutique fashion and design stores. The Bondi Beach Markets set up at Bondi Beach Public School every Sunday, a good stop for local designers, vintage finds and produce.
Beaches, walks and landmarks
Bondi Icebergs pool sits at the southern end of the beach and is worth a visit even if you are not swimming laps, with a bar and restaurant looking straight out over the ocean pool. The Bondi to Coogee coastal walk starts here and passes Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly and Coogee, roughly six kilometres one way with cafes along the route and some of the best lookout points on the eastern coastline. North Bondi's rock pools are calmer and better suited to families with young children, tucked below the headland away from the main surf break. The suburb's art deco architecture, visible along the beachfront apartment blocks on Campbell Parade and Ramsgate Avenue, is part of what gives Bondi its distinctive look, alongside the murals and street art that line the walkway down to the sand.
Families and groups
North Bondi's calmer water and rock pools make it the easiest base for families with young children. Larger villas such as Villa Elume and Villa Murmur suit multi family groups or extended stays, with several properties offering games rooms, BBQ terraces and bikes or surfboards included. For groups travelling together, South Bondi's clifftop properties offer more separation and privacy while staying close to the coastal walk.
Best Time to Visit Bondi
September to November and March to May offer ideal weather with fewer crowds. Spring also brings Sculpture by the Sea, a large outdoor exhibition along the coastal walk in October and November.
December to February is peak season with vibrant energy but higher prices and busier beaches. Book well ahead if travelling over the Christmas and New Year period.
Late June to mid July is whale watching season along the Bondi headland, visible from several clifftop villas without leaving the property.
